Job Description

Portfolio Management Services (PMS) is a very high growth potential area in wealth management catering to HNI/UHNI clients. Assisting PMS Investment team in managing day to day investment related activities, sound knowledge of equity markets, data & analytical skills are prerequisites.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Portfolio Manager would ensure that the PMS strategies are managed in line with the investment objective and performance of the strategies are maintained at high standards.

Responsible for overseeing Portfolio management activities such as portfolio construction/ portfolio rebalancing/idea generation etc.

He/she should be able to independently manage PMS frontline activities, liaising with PMS operations & sales team team, preparation of PMS presentations, data collation & updation.

 The Portfolio manager should have strong background in equity research both to generate new ideas as well as to maintain a high standard of research on every company that is tracked. In this regard he / she will need to work closely with the investment team and participate in the research activities.

The Portfolio manager is responsible to ensure that all investments in the PMS strategies are made with thorough due diligence and keeping in mind all the risks that may be there. He / She must ensure that these risks are minimised and the risk –return trade-off is favourable. All decisions must be taken keeping in mind the fiduciary responsibility to the PMS client. He / She will be responsible for compliance to all regulation both internal and external at all points in time. 

The Portfolio manager will provide adequate support to the sales effort as required from time to time.  The Portfolio manager will participate in formulating strategy and will ensure that effective communication is made internally and externally on market outlook, strategy, performance updates, presentation etc on a need basis. He will ensure that such communication is of high standards and meets compliance requirements.

This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed investment decisions.

Requirements

  • At least 4-5 years of work experience in Fund Management. Relevant work experience can be in the form of working on buy side with PMS/AIF/MF/Family office.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business or related field; CA/MBA/CFA
  • Strong numerical & analytical skills
  •  Effective communication & presentation skills
